Walk Score: 45 out of 100 — Car-Dependent

I came across an interesting site called Walk Score (http://www.walkscore.com/).

It calculates the walkability of an address by locating nearby stores, restaurants, schools, parks, etc. Walk Score is just an approximation of walkability, though.

There are a number of factors that contribute to walkability that are not part of the math such as public transit, street width, street design, and pedestrian-friendly community design.

I entered my address and think it is is fairly accurate.

Check it out and see how "walkable" your neighborhood is!

Ouch! I rated a 6... But I guess I save in the fact that I don't have to drive up north every weekend to feel like I have!!!
