Holiday countdown

It is amazing that Christmas is this Saturday. Why? Because it just snuck up on me. My husband, for some strange reason, has not scheduled time to buy his tree. We have no decorations on / in the house... nothing. On top of that, we have decided not to buy gifts for the kids this year. Why? Because they complain how they have NO money, saved NO money over the year to buy anyone a gift, and are basically selfish. On top of that... they are all fine with it.

So this year, since I'm having foot surgery on the 23rd, the holiday will be different. We are having a mandatory cell phone shut off period for FOUR HOURS. Yes, they are freaking out, but oh well... they will just have to suffer through disconnecting for a bit. We are going to have family time...play family games...eat lots of "pot luck" food and have fun.

I'll keep you posted on that last part.

I did buy my husband a gift. He has no shame when it comes to wearing obnoxious golf attire. Usually a pretty conservative dresser...the Loudmouth brand of golf clothes just got to him. So, this is what he'll be opening from me this year...Can't wait to see his face... he's going to LOVE them. Shhhh...don't tell!!!
